He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Armstrong and Mary Scarlett Armstrong; and his wife Caroline Armstrong. He is survived by: his children, Carol Cartrette, Janice Spaugh, Sherry (Mike Gonzalez), Gary (Gretchen Armstrong, Jr.), Marvin (Beverly Spaugh) and Wayne Spaugh; and his sisters, Sarah Armstrong, Kathy Newson, Janice Roper and Angelyn Sechrest. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
