He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Marshall Brackett, Sr. and Julia Claire Cook Brackett; his wife Betty McCants Brackett; his brother Charles Brackett; and his great grandchild Jameson Marshall McGill.
He is survived by: his children, Marshall (Ann Brackett), Gary Brackett of Milledgeville, GA, Lynn (Dave Puffer) and Beth (Randy Starrett); his grandchildren, Ashleigh Brackett, Gregory (Kayla Brackett), Zachary Brackett, Tanner Brackett, Seth Phillips, Maya Phillips, Brad (Sallie Starrett) and Brittany (Marcus McGill); and his brother Dr. Benjamin Brackett.
