She was predeceased by: her husband Oswell Ross Thurmond; her father James Melvin Patton; and her sister Etheleen Green. She is survived by: her parents-in-law, Michael (Mike), Judy Thurmond of Newborn, GA, Joann Mobley of Monroe, GA, Lynn Kennedy of Monroe, GA, Candy and Paco Sanchez of Monroe, GA; and her siblings, Lewis (Vicky Patton), Odean Patton of Monroe, GA, Lousie Slotterback of Washington, GA, Vince (Rita White), Roger (Tony), Milton (Shirley Patton), Wayne (Julie May Mobley), Daniel (Wanda Patton) and Kay Blackwell of Hull, GA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.
