She was predeceased by: her parent Leavie Thomas McCullers; her husband Edwin Walker Young; and her son Larry Young. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Head of Monroe and Penny Carithers of Grayson. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
