He was predeceased by: his father Larry Rip Gene Malcom. He is survived by: his mother Sherrell Hawk Malcom; his wife Sally Hollis Malcom; and his daughters, Valarie Malcom, Amberlee Malcom and Lana Browning. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

“During my 30+ years of doing high school football on Friday nights I was fortunate to work with many fine and wonderful people, but no one was more helpful, pleasant and accommodating than David "Julio" Malcolm when I was helping out with WMOQ's high school football games. He will be missed by so many in the Walton County and surrounding counties - anywhere the 92.3 radio signal Is heard - where he positively touched so many lives - in a multitude of ways. We'll all miss you - David Kopp”
