He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Franklin and Fannie Mae Brannon Pelt; and his brothers, Eddie Van Pelt, Danny Ray Pelt and Bobby Langston.
He is survived by: his son Dylan; his daughter-in-law Brandie Pelt of High Falls, Georgia; his son Brandon Pelt; his daughter-in-law Debra McClure of Ottumwa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Melanie Simpson, Nicholas Liner, Cali Liner and Dalton Pelt; and his friends, Phyllis Langston of Griffin, Melissa of Griffin, Jeremy Steger of Griffin, James, Diane Harris of The Villages and Denise Cline of Panama City, Florida..
He was a member of Rock Springs Church as well as a member of the National Rifle Association and the Sons of Confederate Veterans; he was also a contributor to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
