He is survived by: his wife Melinda Kavanagh; his children, Kevin Kavanagh (Natalya), Melissa Kavanagh (Juan), Christy Maloney (John) and B. J. Johnson (Laura); his daughter-in-law Esther Kavanagh (Italo Neira); and his grandchildren, Joey, Nikita, Deanna, Sophie and Gael.
