She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Belle Adcock and Harvey Shepherd; her husband Jack Owens; her sisters, Helen Thomas and Joan Henderson; and her brother-in-law Larry Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Burgess (Doyle, Sr.) and Ronnie Owens (Lori); her grandchildren, Amy Burgess (Melody), Doyle Burgess, Jr. (Ashley), Bridget Deshong (Eric), Dayne Owens, Brooke Clay (Robbie) and Karley Dial (Chris); her great grandchildren, Jacquelyn Deshong, Devin Deshong, Peyton Burgess, Parker Burgess, Brenleigh Clay, McKenna Owens, Grady Dial and Sarah Beth Dial; her great great grandchild Iris Abbott; her sister Ellen Pratt (Jerry); and her brother-in-law Doug Henderson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Meadows Funeral Home (760 State Hwy 11, Monroe, GA 30655). A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Vernon Christian Church Cemetery (560 Mount Vernon Rd NW, Monroe, GA 30656).
