He is survived by: his mother Alma Dowdy; his daughter Carrie Campbell; and his siblings, John Dowdy, Eddie Dowdy, Billy Dowdy, David Armstrong, Patricia Dowdy-Lumpkin, Christine Bishop, Paulette Jones and Schala Bolton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
