He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Louise (Greer) and Joe Frank Jacobs of Winterville; his wife Helen Marie Thornton of Monroe; and his sister Betty Jo Cape (Jacobs) of Winterville. He is survived by: his siblings, John Thomas Jacobs of Blue Ridge and Daisy Mae McCannon (Jacobs) of Comer; his sons, Ron (Diane) of Monroe, Michael of Monroe and Chad (Julie) of Mableton; and his grandchildren, Dawn Brown (Wes) of Madison, Kevan Tiller (Katie) of Winder, Clara and Eleanor. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
