It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shorty Clayton of Molena, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father George David Clayton; his son Charles Bruce; and his sister Diane "Dicey" Ward. He is survived by: his wife Clara Clayton; his children, David Wayne Clayton, Jr. (Julie), Tonya Bruce, Sheri Clayton, Dawn Miller and Chasity Nix; his grandchildren, Lanie, Preslie, Jax Clayton, Clayton, Cody Scott, Kristen Turner, Matthew Bruce, Oshyn, Ireland Clayton, Dagen, Butler Miller, Kayla and Cody Clayton; and his mother Ruth Mann Greenway. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
