He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldine Melton and Cora Lou Connell Melton; and his brother-in-law Stoney Daniel. He is survived by: his son Howard "Giddy Up" Melton of Moultrie, GA; his siblings, Angela Daniel of Molena, GA and Joe Melton (Sheila) of Molena, GA; his grandchildren, Izak Melton, Harley Melton and Alisha Harvey (Colton Brooks); his nieces and nephews, Isaac Daniel (Carlie), Holly Welch, Nick Lane (Jennifer), Audra Lane and Jody Melton; and his cousin Joey Hudgins. He is also survived by ten great nieces and nephews.
