He was predeceased by: his parents, L. W. "Doug" Smith and Betty Rigsby Smith; and his brother Millard Warren Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Robin Martin (Wendell McGuire), Dianne (Gary Austin) and James; his sister-in-law Angela Smith; and his nieces and nephews, Chris and Ashlie Turner. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
