He is survived by: his wife Sherry Guy Akins; his daughter Julie; his son-in-law David White of Rome; his sons, Josh (Amanda Akins) and Joey (Helen Akins); his grandchildren, Landon, Breelynn, Dylan, Grace, Isaac, Aisley, Avyn, Chandler and Jackson; his great grandchild Anslee; and his siblings, Linda Scoggins of Rome, Diane (Tony Swafford), Anthony (Elaine Akins) and Tim (Tammy Akins). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
