She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Dalton Archer and Lou Venie Rampley Archer; her husbands, James Smoot and Tommy Mayfield; her daughter Deanne Smoot; her stepson David Mayfield; and her siblings, Clyde D. Archer, Mary Lou Bennett, Annie Bell Caldwell, JohnThomas Archer, Christine Randolph and Sandy Nicholson.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Josh Melton and Christopher Melton; her brothers, Grady Archer and George Archer; her stepdaughter Melissa Cato (Tim); and her stepgranddaughter Jessica Cato. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
