He was predeceased by: his parents, Waymond Cato and Lucille Sosby Cato; his wife Marcia Cato; and his son Christopher Cato. He is survived by: his daughter Katie Gordon (Stephen Whaley) of Molena; his grandchildren, Monica Gordon, George Gordon and Kyle Kapp; his brother Steve Cato of Meansville; his nephew Don Cato (Kim) of Molena; and his nieces, Skylar Cato and Hayden Cato.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bob. .
