She was predeceased by: her parents, James Daniel Smith and Ethel Irene Singleton Smith; and her husband Rev. John Louis Saunders. She is survived by: her children, Debra Farrington (Richard), Sandra Gillis, Johnie Pickelsimer (Allen), Joseph Saunders and Paula Fisher (Gary); and her siblings, James Dallas Smith and Voner Ann Bailey. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
