She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Linwood Joye and Eva Ruth Smith; her aunts, Louise Smith, Blanch Jennings, Hazel Brinkley and Ruby Dutton Hill; and her uncle Floyd Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Smith; her children, Felicity and Anson; her sister Susan (Sam Purcell) of Washington; her sister-in-law Denyse (Michael Mesnik) of Naples; her niece Rachael; and her nephew Joshua.
