He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Cole; his son Rex Cole of Copperhill; his daughters-in-law, Cynthia Brown of Blue Ridge and Rhonda Cole of Blairsville; his siblings, Elbie Cole (Charlotte) of Blue Ridge, Melvin Cole (Linda) of Blue Ridge, Ruth Ann Franklin (Danny) of Blue Ridge and Jo Ann Arp of Morganton; his grandchildren, Flonnie Cole, Tiffany Quinn, Warren Cole and P. J. Cole; and his great grandchildren, Wesley Quinn, Brady Cole, Christa Quinn and Ariel Quinn.
