He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Allen Jenkins; his father H. W. Jenkins; his stepmother Grace P. Jenkins; and his brothers, Lawrence, Joseph and James.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Jenkins and Jan Pettus (Danny); and his half-sister Patsy Baker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
