He was predeceased by: his parents, Florrie Eugenia Swint Grant and Joseph Floyd Grant, Jr.; his brother Swint Grant; and his uncle William K. Swint (Ink). He is survived by: his daughter Natalie Grant Nicholson; his son-in-law Rick Nicholson; his grandchildren, Cody Kendrick Nicholson, Trenton Joe Nicholson and Keri Napier Perkins; his great grandchild Alaya Monroe Prince; and his sister Frances Cato. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
