He was predeceased by: his parents, Doll Benjamin Bennett and Betty Mae White Bennett; and his sister Betty Gail Davis. He is survived by: his wife Francine Carter Bennett of Millwood, GA; his children, Pam Bennett Perritt (Richard) of Waycross, Lea Bennett Singletary (Johnny) of Hahira, GA, Leon Eugene Bennett, Jr. (Alicia) of Millwood, GA and Kennsel Bennett (Jackie) of Waycross, GA; his grandchildren, Paige Young (Ryan), Justin Bennett (Anna), Jacob Bennett (Ashley), Kensley Hoover (Jacob), Joshua Bennett and Steven Perritt; his great grandchildren, Sienna Bennett, Bode Bennett, Sieley Bennett, Graham Bennett, Sawyer Linn Hoover and Mannen Young; his siblings, Wanda Peacock (Dub) of Waycross, GA and Olen Huey Bennett (Deloris) of Millwood, GA; and his brother-in-law Rev. Clayton Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
