He was predeceased by: his father James Manning "Bud" Davis; his wife Jeanette Wilson Davis; and his siblings, Levo Davis Steedley, Floyd Davis, Wilmer Davis, Gehu Davis, Evelyn Davis Steverson and Carrie Davis O'Berry.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Sweat (Rob) of Blackshear, GA, John W. Davis of Blackshear, GA and Manning Davis (Danielle) of Blackshear, GA; his grandchildren, Logan Carrin (Laycee), Jameson Davis, Parker Mizell and Rhett White; his great grandchildren, Whitt Carrin and Illa Kate Carrin; and his siblings, Laila Jones of Brunswick, GA, Judy Deen of White Oak, GA, Ronnie Davis of Waycross, GA and Rev. Clayton Davis of Millwood, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
