He was predeceased by: his father Harvey P. Thompson; his wife Leila Carol Allen Thompson; and his siblings, Mark Thompson, Beth Higgs and Lois Ricketson.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Logue (Cliff) of Waycross, Perry Thompson (Tina) of Millwood, Ray Thompson (Beth) of Millwood, Penny Deems (Ricky) of Millwood and Kelly Thompson (Devon) of Athens; and his sister Alice Hardee (Roy Lee) of Millwood. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
