Merritt, Jr. (Sharon) of Irmo, SC, Katie Christine Ficken (Nate) of Picayune, MS and Casey Joe Merritt (Beth) of Millwood; his grandchildren, Haley Merritt, Jasper Merritt, Jordan Penton (Chris), Nathan Ficken, Natalie Ficken, Lydia Merritt, Lillian Merritt and Sawyer Merritt; his great grandchildren, Lane and Lux Penton; his siblings, Jane Lindsay (late Eddie Lindsay) of Pearson, Joy O'Neal (John) of Sebring, FL and Jody Rufus Merritt, Jr. (Lena) of Waycross; and his brother-in-law Chester Musgrove of Millwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
