He was predeceased by: his parents, R. H. Fields Sr. and Alma Lane Fields; and his brother Robert Fields Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Johnson Fields; his children, Melissa Fields Hill (Randy), Steven DeWayne Fields (Heather) and Christopher Shane Fields (Paula); his sisters, Ruth F. Johnson (James) and Norma F. Herndon (Marvin); his sister-in-law Ellen M. Fields; and his caregiver Kim Young. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elam Baptist Church (5199 Elam Rd, Millen, GA 30442). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5199 Elam Rd., Millen, Ga 30442.
