It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simone Marie Eugenie Bietry Barker of Millen, Georgia, born in Vittel, Lorraine, who passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Marie Bietry. She is survived by: her husband Col. Gerald Joseph Barker; her daughter Patricia McMillan (Jerry) of Millen; her granddaughters, Suzi Martin (Carey) of Jesup and Denise Borck (Tommy) of Statesboro; and her great grandchildren, Caleb, Cooper Martin, Bailey and Kinsey Borck.
