He was predeceased by: his father Lamar Pierce; and his sisters, Eleene Burke, Emma Lee Godbee, Edith Meeks and Claudine Williams (Marion Mascola Pierce).
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lewis Pierce (Bert) of Statesboro, GA and Thomas Lamar Pierce of Fayettville, GA; his grandchildren, Robert Lewis Pierce, III (Bo) of St. Simons, GA, Zachary Pierce of Fayetteville, GA and Elizabeth Pierce of Fayetteville, GA; and his significant other Becky Pierce of Fayetteville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oak Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 3233 Oak Hill Church Rd., Millen, GA 30442.
