He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce A. Reckart and Faye Reckart; his brothers, Melvin Dempsey Reckart and Franklin Bruce Reckart (Peggy); and his nephews, Michael Miller and Willie "Botch" Reckart.
He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Gordon Reckart; his children, Carmen Reckart (Ronnie Burroughs), Stephanie Reckart (Phil Rosenberger) and Brooks Reckart; his grandchildren, Nathan, Julia Cupp, Shelby Cupp, Felica Reckart, Jeremiah, Samantha Adams and Charly Rosenberger; and his sisters, Geraldine McElroy and Dorothy Miller (Wayne). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
