She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe and Dora Bridges Dixon; her husband Eugene Simmons; her son Charles Larry Simmons; her daughter-in-law Diane Morris Simmons; her husband Neal Coleman; her sisters, Dora Lee Dubberly and Jewel Dixon; and her son-in-law Mark Posey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Mays (Glen) and Sunny Posey; her stepsons, Donald Wayne Coleman (Wanda) and Stan Coleman; her grandchildren, Chalane Perryman (James), Chad Simmons (Stephanie), Cindy Anderson (Todd), Daniel Posey, Vanessa Reeves (Paul), Penny Faircloth (Danny), Billie Stout (Cory), Chris Coleman, Sandy Dixon (Aaron), Brandon Coleman (Joanna) and Sky Coleman; and her great grandchild Robert Reynolds.
