She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Preston and Nimmie Preston of Monroe, GA; her husband Roy Head; and her siblings, Nimrod Preston and Carolyn Goodwin.

She is survived by: her children, Cindy (Brien Linder), Mike Head (Anette) and Steve Head (Corinne); her grandchildren, Jamie and Jacob Wilkinson; her great grandchildren, Brooks and Blakelynn of Vidalia, GA.; her daughters, Caroline and Kathryn of Millen, GA.; and her sister Winifred Thomas of Athens, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
