He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jackson and Bertie Mae Jackson; his son James Craig Jackson, Jr.; his in-law Ortents Beard (Miss Piggie); and his siblings, Andrew, Roland Jackson, David Bryant, Annie Jean Grahm and Nita Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Beard Jackson; his sisters, Vicki Dixon (Grady) and Barbara Graham of Portal; his sisters-in-law, Marie Taylor (Ricky) of Millen and Joan Brown (Ralph) of Millen; and his pet Prissy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor, to Jenkins County K911 Rescue or West Millen Baptist Church.
