It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Allen Knight Jr. of Millen, Georgia, born in Portal, Georgia, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Knight Sr. and Tobitha Lee Knight; and his siblings, L. B., Doy, Roy Knight, Jackie Hubbard, Pauline Logan and Erma Jean Hodges.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Mary W. Knight of Portal, Georgia.; his wife Marilyn Kent Knight; his sons, James Allen Knight, III (Foye) and William Allister Knight (Celissa); his grandsons, James Edward Knight, William Allister Knight, Jr. and Cheney Kent Knight; and his nephews, Dana Cassidy Kent Jr., Edwin Doy Rocker, Jr., Robert Harvey Kent, Jr., Roy Davis and Rodney Garvin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Millen Baptist Church renovation fund, 219 N. Gray Street, Millen, GA. 30442.
