With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Godbee Wilson of Millen, Georgia, who passed away on September 22, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Godbee and Lois McGlohorn Wilson; her brother Milton Paul Godbee Sr.; and her daughter-in-law Tina Miller Wilson. She is survived by: her husband Joe Wilson Sr. of Millen; her children, Jody Wilson Tabor (David) of Hahira, GA and Joe Wilson Jr. of Millen; her brother Ricky O. Godbee (Barbara) of Pooler, GA; her stepgranddaughters, Desiree Tabor Carter (Brian) of Atlanta, GA and Megan Tabor Weatherford (Joe) of Watkinsville, GA; her great grandchildren, Margot, Beau and Owen; and her sister-in-law Susan Dudley Myers of Millen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Millen Baptist Church (549 US-25, Millen, GA 30442). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to West Millen Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
