He is survived by : his son Dusty William Overstreet of Perkins; his grandson Noah Alexander Overstreet; and his siblings, Mary Hunter of Waynesboro and James Overstreet of Millen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Oak Hill Baptist Church (3233 Oak Hill Church Rd, Millen, GA 30442).
