He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Grace Caroline Dudley; and his sister Louise Brinson. He is survived by: his wife Mary B. Burke; his children, Brenda B. Dudley (George) and Charles E. Burke Jr. of Millen; his siblings, Shelvy Jean McDaniel and Jesse Earl Burke of Millen; his grandchildren, Ginger Lanier (Ernest) and Robert Dudley; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Sidnee Lanier and Dalton Dudley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
