She was predeceased by: her husband David Clifton; her siblings, Juel Waters, Corree Brinson and Gibb Brinson; and her son-in-law Wally Brazell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn B. Hughes and Kate C. Brazell; and her sisters, Rose Mays of Millen and Aurelia Black (F. A.) of Millen.

Donations can be made to a local hospice in her memory.
