He was predeceased by: his parents, Zackey Sanders, Sr. and Ethel Jenkins Batchelor; his wife Mary Sanders; his sister Dorothy Helms; and his son-in-law Jeff Michael Cook.
He is survived by: his children, James Sanders of Milledgeville, Katherine Yates (Frank) of Milledgeville and Denise Cook of Milledgeville; his grandchildren, Candice Ray (Nick), Kevin Yates (Celestial), Chelsa Melton, Misty Kitchens, Jimmy Joe Sumner, III and Ashley Sumner; his great grandchildren, Melissa Williams, D. J. Kitchens, Nova Yates, Hayden Ray, Arieanah Melton, Adison Ray, River White, Jordyn Ray and Levi Lowe; and his pets, Daisy and Frosty.
