He is survived by: his children, Jessica Brown and Darius Simmons; his grandchildren, Brandon Brown and Bryson Brown of Milledgeville; his siblings, Edward Simmons (Brenda), Ronnie Simmons, Barry Simmons (Sandra), Vincent Simmons (Yvonne), Carolyn Claybourne (Todd), Annie Flournoy (Greg), Bertha Simmons and Katrina Simmons; his aunt Udene Byrd of Uvalda; and his friend Gerald Jackson. He is also survived by his family and friends.
