He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Erwin Owen, Sr. and Evelyn Edwards Owen; his significant other Lily Tom Starling Owen; and his brother William Richard Owen (Bill). He is survived by: his children, Leslie Owen McCraw (Harris) of Dallas, TX, Britt Owen Byrd of Milledgeville and Thomas Erwin "Trey" Owen, III (Natalie) of Milledgeville; his sisters, Sally Owen Williams (Dennis) of Jacksonville, FL and Ann Owen Fulghum of Bradenton, FL; and his grandchildren, Dorothy Edwards (T. J.), Salley Martin (Rob), Thomas Erwin "Wynn" Owen, IV (Kristen), Chase Woodson Owen (Colleen), Whitney Joris Whitlock and Maggie Wiles (John). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
