He was predeceased by: his father Judson David Mullis; his daughter Frances McDaniel Mullis; and his wife Martha Childers Mullis. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas Gerald Mullis, Jr. (Mari) of Milledgeville, GA and Kevin Mullis (Charlene) of Jacksonville, FL; and his grandchildren, Regan Mullis, Zachary Mullis, Hailey Mullis and Ryan Mullis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Berry College in support of the Graden Mullis scholarship fund.
