He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Taylor and Minnie Mercer Taylor Garrett; his son Christopher Taylor; and his grandson Matthew Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Jeanette Kitchens Taylor; his children, Christina Chambers (Jesse) of Gray and Jason Taylor of Alabama; his stepchildren, Melissa Bainbridge, Melba Courbat of Sandersville and Darryl Phillips of Deepstep; and his siblings, Dawn Gaddis of Irwinton and Tony Lee of Irwinton.
