She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Jordan Veal and Estelle Stephens Veal; her former husband Charles Simmons Cary, II; and her brother Harvey "Sonny" Veal (Ria). She is survived by: her husband Ed Schureck of Eatonton; her children, Charles S. "Chuck" Cary, III and Lacy Cary Bentley (Matt) of Milledgeville; her granddaughter Kate Bentley; her brothers, Smokey Veal (Ann) of Milledgeville and Stephen Veal (Faye) of Milledgeville; and her sister-in-law Rosemary Cary Morris of Athens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
