She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wesley Matthews and Rebecca Bell Anderson Matthews; her husband Joseph Willis Baxley; her sons, James Madison Baxley, Joey Baxley and Kenneth Lamar Baxley; and her grandsons, William Lindsey and Robert Witt.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Baxley, David Baxley of Milledgeville, Elaine Phillips of Knoxville, TN, Bernice Read of Eatonton and JoAnn Herron of Milledgeville; her daughter-in-law Deborah Lindsey (Don); and her close friends, Luther, Berta Minor and Joe Dawson. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren 13 great great-grandchildren.
