He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Minnie Bell Smith and William Reuben Atchison, Sr.; his wife Barbara Layfield Atchison of Milledgeville; his daughter Cathy Atchison Martin (David) of Haddock; his sister Sara Anderson of Macon; his grandchildren, Bridget Martin Ivey (Marshall) of Milledgeville and Richard Martin (Taylor) of Milledgeville; and his great grandchildren, Tucker Ivey, Emerson Ivey, Luke Ivey and Charlotte Ivey.
