He was predeceased by: his parents, Pruitt Courtney Ellerbee Sr. and Anna Belle Ferguson Ellerbee; and his siblings, Charles Ellerbee, Terry Ellerbee, Martha Sutton and Pat Williamson.
He is survived by: his wife Hallie Marie Burnes Ellerbee; his sons, Courtney Sean Ellerbee (Christy Surrency Ellerbee) and Jason Burnes Ellerbee (Elizabeth Harwell Ellerbee); and his grandsons, Jackson Surrency Ellerbee, Benjamin Sean Ellerbee (Ellerbee) of Joshua Caleb, John David Ellerbee, Samuel Elliot Ellerbee, Elijah Burnes Ellerbee, Jeremiah Jackson Ellerbee and Boykin Spaniel Bean.
