He was predeceased by: his parents, William Asa Williams and Edith Stallings Williams; his brothers, Donald Williams and Larry Williams; and his stepgrandsons, Cody Maddox and Chris Lowry.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Williams; his son Steve Williams (Teresa) of Thomaston; his stepchildren, Denean Crowder of Thomaston, Jason Crowder of Barnesville and Frank Crowder of Griffin; his grandchildren, Julie Cox (Allen) of New Hope, AL, Jeremiah Williams (Jessica), Joshua Williams (Sara) of Thomaston and Matthew Lowry of Thomaston; his stepgrandsons, Bo Thompson and Joshua Shaw; his sisters, Gail Moncrief (Joseph) of Jackson and Joanne Bolton of Jackson; and his cousins, Jan Washington (George) of Jackson, Rick A. Williams of Milledgeville and Brenda Williams of Gordon. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
