It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Swearingen in Milledgeville, Georgia, born in Macon, Georgia, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Clifford Swearingen; her parents, Albert Oliver Allen and Gladys Aline Doke Allen; her daughter Wanda Burchett; and her son-in-law Steve Montgomery.

She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Montgomery; her grandchildren, Kelly Montgomery (Brandi), Kimberly Smith (Matt), Melissa Blackaby (Josiah), Laurie Hunkler (Matt) and Heather Kanetsky (Martin); her great grandchildren, Bridget Funderburg, Ethan Blackaby, Landon Blackaby, Deacon Blackaby, Ivey Montgomery, Ellie Montgomery, Tanner Montgomery, Owen Hunkler, Olivia Hunkler, Mason Kanetsky, Penny Kanetsky and Caroline Smith; and her siblings, Genell Lingold (Lane), Darlene McCoy (Ronnie) and Albert Allen (Yvonne). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
