He was predeceased by: his wife June Smith Chambers; his grandchild Lauren Brooke Chambers; and his parents, Ora S. Chambers and B. F. Chambers. He is survived by: his sons, Steve Chambers (Teresa) of Milledgeville and Mike Chambers (Kerry) of Jasper; his grandchildren, Ryan Chambers, Casie Bridges, Carly June Gurley (Rob) and Kyle Chambers (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Winslette Chambers, Maggie May Chambers, Cal Chambers and Brooks Chambers.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the First Baptist Church in Milledgeville.
