With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leland Ruth Maddox of Milledgeville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude R. Sanders and Leland Watkins Sanders of Soperton; her husband Ira F. Maddox; her daughter Martha Carol Bryan; her son-in-law Gerald T. Bryan of Gray; her sister Ellen Hill; and her siblings-in-law, Robert of Dublin, Sam Babb of Milledgeville, Ann and Rex Snell of Orchard Hill.
She is survived by: her son Wayne Ira Maddox; her daughter-in-law Cola Maddox of Milledgeville; her sister Eunice Babb of Gray; her grandchildren, Keith Wayne Maddox (Genie) of Perry, Christopher L. Maddox (Crystal) of Signal Mountain, TN and Cathy L. Maddox Glaser (Mat) of Coconut Creek, FL; and her niece Sharon (Rick Amor) of Milledgeville. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren.
